BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

As most of you that view these pages would be aware the governments of many states have attempted to curb our freedoms and impose legislation upon our lifestyles that reach a new high of draconian even on world scale.

But alas those attempts in at least two states and in two high court challenges haven’t  gone the way those governments wanted Australians 2  - State Governments 0.

  • However the fight is not over people the Finks Mc Qld high court challenge is now set down for December this year.
  • The Supreme Court challenge in NSW over the consorting laws is still ongoing.
  • The fight against the unprecedented and unlawful confiscation of guns of law abiding patch members in Victoria is only just begun.

All of these matters have been helped by and assisted financially by not only the UMCQ but other state UMCs. These court matters and lawyers do not come cheap. The UMCQ has various fund raising options our major one being UMCQ social membership and merchandise. We are aware that there has been some ongoing problems with PayPal and we are endeavouring to resolve all these matters of which there are only a few to do.

The UMCQ cannot do this on our own we need you the people to help us so we can help you, in this battle against those that would take our freedoms and rights off not just us but all Australians. Some other concerns that have been bought to our attention are the membership details of people provided to us online. We can 100% guarantee that all details provided on this site are secure and confidential, no information collected on here is available or sold to any other bodies.

But we need your details to send you your membership packs and to keep you up to speed on what is happening, we need your accurate updated details otherwise your packs will go to our outdated addresses. We need you to make sure your PayPal has sufficient funds and authority to complete transactions.

We are not in control of anyone’s PayPal accounts nor do we wish to be.

So the bottom line is we need your support in many ways, but the best and most effective way is financially. Please check your membership details whether you’re currently financial or about to initially join and ensure you’ve registered with your most recent Email Address/Details as we don’t want you missing out on your membership pack or our upcoming social events and the latest UMCQ news. Please send an email to membership@umcinc.com.au with your updated details.

Thank you!

"CLICK KNOW YOUR RIGHTS" !!

WHO WE ARE: The United Motorcycle Council of Queensland is a peak group representing 16 motorcycle clubs from around Queensland. Membership is also open to individuals.

The council has been formed to provide clubs and individuals with an avenue for dispute resolution. It also aims to break down some of the negative stereotypes about motorcycle clubs and members, and allows bikers to have a say in issues that affect them.

** The Queensland government have already introduced new anti-association legislation (anti-bikie laws) which will not only effectively outlaw motorbike clubs, but also impact the civil liberties of all Queenslanders. **

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Hundreds of UMCQ members and supporters are asking us what they can do to stop their government trampling all over the democratic rights of motorcycle riders and of all Queensland citizens.

We’ve drafted an example (click here), to give you an idea of the kinds of messages we are trying to get through to them.  (Click here) for a list of MPs, then email, fax or write a letter to your representative. For best results just use the sample letter as a guide, try and include questions that need to be answered by multiple departments, and absolutely the best way to be noticed is to put a stamp on it and post it.

Although it is the Labor Government that slammed this through, it will not hurt to send letters to both the Labor MP's and Liberal/National Party MP's as well as independents. Even though these laws are now in we cannot rest, a continual stream of letters from as many Australian citizens as you can convince to write them the more the politicians will pay attention. Remember they have a short attention span.

Remember – Politicians were voted in to Parliament to represent us, not to repress us !
